I missread the original post. I'm just used to discussing lime in tons/acre. I have seen some results that have called for 7 ton/acre though, not overly uncommon in my area. With that low of a rate, I would guess the original dealer was trying to sell pel-lime. I never have understood that rational, just a quick fix, no long term results.
