| Phil N and others have done an excellent job of teaching the details necessary for high yield wheat. Planting date, N timing, seed quality, etc. Many of these things cost rather little extra to do them correctly.
Across much of North America, a major additional limiting factor is crop nutrition. Wheat grows during the cool part of the year when mineralization is slow. It is absolutely essential for high wheat yield to ensure the crop has all the necessary nutrients at the time the plant needs them. | |
