East Central Ia | Well it appears that the supply issue really isn't the point. Other Coops around aren't having this issue (at least not yet) and it appears that my supplier didn't book enough NH3 to cover the ammount he booked out to farmers. Sounds like they were worried about having to much bought in case we didn't get as much on as we were planning.
From what I can gather it isn't so much a problem of getting NH3, they just don't want to buy any more at higher prices then what we have it booked for.
This is getting *bleeping* ridiculous. I guy books/prepays a product and that still doesn't assure him that he will get it? Something needs to be done about this... its only going to get worse.
If we sell a contract of corn and the price goes up, we still have to make good on it.
Edit: Oh and cash price now for this fall is over $600 also.
