Eastern Ontario | We don't burn off stalks, but found this very interesting when one year at planting time the planter plugged up with corn stalks. Burned the pile and kept on planting. Later in the year the beans looked much better in that spot. Not sure if it was the heat or what. Ever burn off the ditch bank only to find out the grass comes back as green as it's never been.
