Mid Michigan | Doesn't it put a bunch of potash back into the soil? I think my dad told me that is why they always used to burn off the wheat fields. I actually just got done burning a few cornstalks out in our field that didn't get plowed under in a few spots. They looked like muskrat mounds out there so I torched them off. I was suprised how fast they burned up. It was about like dry newspaper. It would have been great to do the whole field. Didn't want everybody in the county getting in a panic though. | |
