Lancaster, OH | This has been coming since mid-season last year. You are correct in your assessment. "M" is producing acid at full capacity and attempting to add more through efficiencies. The pricing strategy was to keep "M" brand at a price at or just above competitors to keep supply in hand for those committed to the "M" brand. If generic suppliers and others raised price because of their supply and "M" brand was cheaper, those generic users would use "M" brands cutting the supply short for those who had committed to it earlier.
I'd like to see documentation of Monsanto buying any facilities in China. A big part of SE Asia they pulled out of.
