Our water is about as hard as you can get and still have it flow I think.

Takes about 6 months to start clogging shower heads with deposits.

Edit: Forgot to add that I do run AMS in our water. Dump the bags into the 3000 gallon tank that I fill the sprayer out of. Never really ran any checks to see if it was worth it or not. Intuitively I just think it is.
