Subject: Yes, watch the regs

You definitely want to watch the regulations--diking, fill pads, etc. An EPA establishment number is also required and you may need a repackaging agreement from the manufacturer to put it in smaller containers. This gets really messy for delivery to the farm.

I have done it to fill mini-bulks. It was safer with the supplier and the farmer to load them ourselves on his fill pad than to transport mini's instead. It doesn't take an Act of God but it feels like St. Peter gets involved!

No one is getting fat on bulk vs filled mini's or packages. It is more of a space, time and handling issue for the dealer. If I were the farmer, as long as I could get my supply when I needed it, I'd leave that headache to the supplier.
