Subject: Re: Iowa Strip Till Pictures w/Montag

Here's some additional pictures in Iowa with the Montag. This unit is a larger capacity model (8 tons?) than those shown on their website. Almost everyone gets the high output unit with 2.5 in tubes. DOES ANYONE HAVE PICTURES/EXPERIENCE OF THEIR LIFT ASSIST Cart in action. Included is a picture where you can see the fertilizer mixing (to connect with an earlier thread). These are standard row units. The high speed unit will mix even better because at higher speeds the soil becomes more fluidized. I would say that the Montag is becoming the defacto standard in strip till dry fertilizer delivery. Getting accurate metering on a row to row basis is critical. Not all systems will give you this.
