Central Missouri | It's all about selling traits whether you need them or not. This is the same reason Monsanto has bought-up all the small companies and put them under their umbrella; to sell their traits through. This is the same reason Pioneer just inked a deal with Ag Venture so that they could sell traits through them. Once weeds are resistant to r-up we will be paying for stacked dicamba and Liberty. Them it will be water and N use efficiency corn. It's not the traits that bother me it's the consolidation into 2-3 camps that will reduce competition enough so there will be no incentive to fight for marketshare. | |
