I normally don't have much of a problem with volunteer corn. Most of the corn that has dropped remains on the surface without sprouting. This year I followed corn with soybeans in my striptill on one field. I did find in that instance that I had some volunteer corn. I'm not sure why, maybe I've always had that much but have never seen it because the rest of the corn kept it hidden. Don't know, but I do believe the volunteer corn is much less of a problem with strip till than with conventional.
