Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | I run Harvest brand ,large wire concaves with 3 Harvest brand cover plates,also Harvest brand fixed air foil chaffer in a 1480/1482. It does an excellent job in spring wheat and flax. For field pea and soybean I remove all cover plates. For barley or oats we normally needed only 1 cover plate,2 if tough threshing. I also run Loewen concave shock kits,which are a great help for getting green or viny stuff through the combines without slugging/bending the concaves/rotor. |
