Subject: PTO quit on 7420

I was baling CRP hay today(Finally!) using a 7420 and 567 JD baler. Its a little warm, around 104, and I had to clean radiator couple of times to keep the air working. After 3 hours or so, the PTO just stops for no good reason. I bale at around 1400 rpm, so I sure wasn't stressing anything. I unhooked the shaft and tried it and it would slowly start turning and would only run about 1/2 speed. I took the shaft out of the tractor and tried the 540 side but same thing. The dash indicator flashes and says the pto is running slow. Thanks, knew that. I shut the tractor off and tried again no difference. The best part is warrenty went off about a month ago. Iput the old reliable MX 110 on the baler for tonight, its supposed to cool down clear into 80's . I'll try the 7420 when I go back out and see if it works after it cools down a little. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks Rob D
