Subject: Re: Dry Fertilizer again Planting

Near-north Ontario, French River
We are using a 450bu dual wheelee gravity for our dry, can easily get 10Ton + in the wagon. I suppose if we wanted to shovel into the corners etc that we could get 15ton in, but since fert doesnt 'flow' like grain we just fill till the piles at tarp level. For an auger we use a poly auger with poly flighting( stainless steel shaft on the auger) . Works well for us, only real problem we have had is if the wagon gets caught in the rain water seems to work its way around the door edges and minor bridging can occur . Wagon has a good roll tarp on it so rain isnt a big issue.
