Neil,
Curious to know if your Garmin Nuvi 200 is showing county roads for you, now.
Yesterday I left the US highway for a gravel road. Once I was established on the gravel county road it depicted that road. When I got to an intersection I clicked onto Go Home & it showed me the way home.

I think I found a tool in the tool box that increased the sensitivity. Supposedly the increased sensitivity slows the action and increased the power requirement.

I left the little toy plugged into my emergency jump battery over night and it did pull the battery down a little. So the little toy does use some power just sitting there.

I got one of those little weighted pillows to hold the thing in the PU. It makes it easier to pull it to you and give it instructions.
