| In the past, whenever I have speculated on what politicians might do, its been a losing game. Anything is possible. Whatever they do, usually does not address the real problem, if there is a problem, but opens up new opportunities somewhere else. I have a good relationship with a couple of Senators and doubt anything which would affect agriculture in a negative way would get very far and in view the current president, while he has a lot of difficulties at the moment, is a free trader. He let oil continue unencumbered, did not fool much with the petroleum reserve and doubt the democrats have anyone with the guts to offend anyone at the moment—except each other.
The way I trade, knowing everyone trades differently, I cannot be short any of these markets at this time, as I view it as pure speculation and while there are no sure things in life, I like to narrow the odds as much as possible.
