Woodham, Ontario | Last year I started planting corn myself, so I needed a gravity box. All the used I could find was horrible shape, so I got a new market 290 bushel and a plastic auger on it. Also got a plastic cross auger for the planter.
The new gravity box has fully welded seams which is something the used ones usually don't. It helps to prevent rust because nothing can get between. The plastic augers are great too, they can't rust. I just run water through them to clean them out and that's it. The gravity box gets presure washed and then a coat of oil. The gravity box has a 10 Ton undercarriage, but the implement tires are not really rated for that so i have to get those replaced with used trcuk tires.
