Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Several years ago, I got crap in the fuel tank of my 4400. This also happened in a later 7720. Never did find a good way to get to them clean.

At least on the 7720 there was an improved sediment bowl strainer that had more surface area and helped. In my case the power was fine until all of a sudden there was a big drop. We would blow backwards into the tank after removing the sediment bowl. We were good for a while after that.

Deere also had an improved filler neck that had a fine screen in it. I believe all newer combines have used this arrangement to prevent debris from entering the fuel tank.
