East Central Ia | Conditions and time in the spring can make it a challenge. We like to have it on in plenty of time before we plant so we don't get any burn and in the spring that can become a challenge. We wait as long as we can in the fall and make sure the soil temp is below 50degrees before we start or we put a nitrogen stabilizer in with it. We don't put any more product on in the fall then we do spring and have got a long great for a long time. I have a neighbor that does it all in the spring and they seem to get along fine but wow this year is enough to make a guy sick. Fall NH3 490$/ton, Spring NH3 650$/ton. Thats a lot of money! | |
