Lapel, In
Probably not going to give you the answer you are looking for. The primary difference I see is one of information. The velocity of information in grains well as the velocity of most other world business has speeded up so much, it has changed the whole face of business as we once knew it. As velocity speeds up, it becomes more stable. For that reason the markets sort themselves out much more quickly than they once did. And for that reason we no longer see the wild swings like we used to see. 1973 is a prime example when beans shot up to $12.90. By the same measure we don't see the base building taking as long as it used to, so the dynamics follow the same pattern except we see the results more quickly now. But what do I know ? I am just a poor uneducated farmer.
