Lapel, In | Main difference is if the weather is REALLY,REALLY dry you could get some loss of germination by putting the fertilizer on the seed. I learned that in the 70s or 80s. Can't remember when for sure, but my loss was about 50% in stand that particular year.I don't care how many guys will tell you they have done it successfully for 20 years. That one year will kill you. Its not worth the risk. IMHO.. My advice is if you are set up for 2x2 , don't change. The seedling roots find the 2x2 plenty quick enough in my opinion. | |
