Subject: Building Bins/Adding Value {SEN. CITIZEN}

Your posts below are simply wonderful!! What a time for people on the LAND to "Seize the day" so to speak, and what a better way to do that than to maintain control of physical grain until it suits the producer to turn it into cash.

Two things need to happen for this to be reality. First, CCC loan rates need to come into line with current prices which they will over time. Second, producers MUST take the step to build infrastructure (Bins) to maintain condition/control of physical grain. A couple other small things as well, NO DP , PLEASE DON'T DP grain!! Also, get on the phone and YOU be the merchandiser, call around, get the best net bid for your circumstance!! The days of loading up and hauling to the closest elevator cause its easy are for hobby farmers only. Get rid of the "Wholesale" mindset!!

It will take time to shake these "old" ways but I am confident we can do it.

Thanks for all your posts Senior Citizen, you sound like you have had a very interesting life so far!! Can you imagine the small twon landscape in 20 years if we can pull the above mentioned things off??
Well, its off to small town Class C Montana Basketball.....................hope our team kicks a#$!!!!!!!!!!!
