In the old days, if I wanted to disguise my identity & etc. or for some other reason, again 'disguise' might be a bad choice of words, I would use a different broker or clearing member & then "give it up" to my clearing member before settlements. I no longer trade those types of volumes but presume it is the same with electronic trading.
