At the same population you will get more stalk material in 20" don't beleive me ask anyone who is on 20" (I am) compaired to the neighbor have a lot more trash in the fall after combining corn we both had the same variety and same population yeild was basically the same but i had a lot more trash bad if you cannot handle it, good for building OM if you can.
