| I hate to say much because it seems like everyone talking about how much they sold at too low of a price. But my neighbors called me crazy for many months and you may also call me crazy and in the long run i may BE crazy. I haven't priced anything in storage and I sold what I didn't think I would have room for last summer for about 3.60 (about 20% of my crop). fortunately i've also made about .70 on calls. I haven't priced any of my 08 and I have made about .50 in 08 calls. I'm not sharing this to brag, I don't talk about it much, but just to share that every bushel isn't sold out around the country. I think the near future is going to be hard on aggressive sellers. I don't have the market figured out, but I have been getting great advice that has gotten me here. (not easy on the stomach in these markets to get to this point though!) | |
