I reversed the knives on a 1063 IH head (worn at bottom end) and then would not feed at top end, so put new knives on and also put new chains and chalmer (sp) slow speed sprockets on which I had to cut the new chain and weld half links in. big draw back is to take a chain off now the front sprocket has to be taken off. when sprockets wear out going back ot IH 8 tooth. Old saying if it an't broke don't fix it.
