If an old man like myself can get used to the joysticks on the new Cats you shouldn't have any problem :) Even my Dad who is 82 does better with the Cat than he did with conventional controls on a Bobcat and he spent years on a Bobcat. If you spend a little time in it you will learn to love it.

BTW, Cat's are not "fly by wire" at least not in the rubber tracked loaders, they are pilot controls. Unle Bubba will have to keep you up to date :)

Toughest thing for us was when we had the track loader that was the old conventional control with the "U" shaped forward and reverse and the new joystick 277B. I can't remember how many times I slipped the track loader into neutral trying to turn right until I got used to going back and forth.
