| I think you're confusing "spitting a whole bunch of beans out" with spitting a whole bunch of chaff out. Even then it's not actuall "spitting" then out bunches at a time but rather the chaff & shelled pods pile up on the back axle then fall off in a bunch, instead of getting throwed back into the spreaders along with the straw. I did two things to eliminate that problem. 1st was to install a chaff spreader. 2nd was to screw a small angular piece of shet metal to the bottom of the rear deflector at the back of the sieves to get the small pieces on back to the chaff spreader.
There are some other options such as a kit from Mae-Wes that lowers the straw spreaders so that they come into contact with more of the chaff. The other that a lot use are "Disrupters: which bolt to the rear of the concaves & chew the straw up more. | |
