Farmland, IN | The Anderson's here in IN have stopped taking any forward contracts past the fall 08 bid. Not to mention their fall 08 corn basis is 28 cents wider than the local ethanol plant, 15 cents at POET vs. 43 cents at the Anderson's, and POET is only about 4 miles further for me. There are other smaller elevators in the area that are still bidding for 09 crops, looks like I'll be taking some of my business elsewhere in the future.
