Subject: alfalfa silage pricing question

I am looking at making a deal with the local dairy barn with some of my land.

The deal would be that I seed alfalfa on the land.  They silage it for the next few years.  It would be dry land alfalfa with with only 1 cut per year.  We just don't get the moisture for more than one cut.

They have offered me a price of $30/short ton @ 60% moisture.  Is this a fair price?

I have never done anything like this before and I don't want to have a bad experience with it.
