Being that far North and knowing temps get to 40 below, C or F it does not matter, will alfalfa last 4 or 5 years?
Sounds awful cheap to me as dairies here want it all cheap then complain about all the poop they have. When you want some poop they say come and get it, but when you go....oops...we forgot to tell you we want money for it.
Be careful of big dairies, they want you to believe they are not profitable.
