| One of the factors important at this juncture, in my opinion, is the composition of the open interest. According to my calculations, the long/short ratio of speculators, large and small totaled, including options is:
corn old Crop 1.26 (1.26 longs for every short) New Crop corn 1.81 & old crop beans 1.55 New crop 1.65 & old crop wheat .75 & new crop 1.57.
The question is: who remains to buy, if the shorts are no longer scared?
I guess we will find out soon enough.
