| I track the commitment of traders to include the options. In the terminology, 'old' is old crop & 'other' is new crop. I have noted nothing unusual other than big traders in most markets are lightening their positions in old crop and moving to new crop. The commercial positions are large but we would expect them to be large in view of the producer selling and the export business.
The only thing which has caught my eye for the past weeks, the commercials 'own' this old crop wheat market.
Going to retire now but will give this article another glance when I get back 'on duty' in six hours. The best spot to check is the CFTC website cftc.org & look at the text or excel download for the CBOT.
Getting ready for the mental arrow in the retirement accounts and mutual funds tomorrow. I think I should have started in the car wash business as a young man rather than the grain business.....might be a little less anguish. | |
