Subject: corporate guys

I've got a BIL that's a Vice President for Union Pacific. We were talking one day about various things, different enterprises I was doing and so on, and he said "Well, why don't you just go rent more land." And I'm like, "Yeah, nobody else thought about that either!!!"

One thing I like about the little dab of hay brokering and hauling I do is that I can set my margins and know what I'll make at the end of the day. If I price a load too cheap, that's my fault. Totally different sensation than putting in a crop, or even putting a set of calves in the lot or on pasture.
