| My story is along different lines than your example, but I get beat by the someone (floor traders?) everytime I make a trade because the price that I buy or sell for is ALWAYS worse for me than the CBOT website would make one believe. For example, say puts are going for 13 cents and I call up to buy one. Broker calls back and says "we got your put bought for 13.5 cents." Opposite when I sell a put because if I had called up and said to sell a put instead of buying one my broker would say "sold your put for 12.5 cents" even though the cbot website would indicate that puts traded for 13 cents during the timeframe that occured shortly after I got off the phone with my broker. Happens to me with straight futures trades all the time too. Someone is making the extra pennies somewhere. | |
