E.Central MN | Passed by Boyd a few weeks ago, how were the crops there last year? Looks like dairy has taken a big hit there, too. I think farmers tend to be tied too closely to their crop, I know I am. Most of us don't buy in and out multiple times, we're just trying to get a decent price for the crop we have to sell. That brings up one other point, farmers and endusers are trying to hedge the price they receive or pay, traders are only concerned with the differences between what they pay and what they sell for. Its a different game. From the outside it looks pretty rosy. Some farmers go broke, some traders do too. | |
