Glasgow, Ky | We have had the multi par bidding system in our area for many years. Confusion is one of the goals of this system. Kind of like one of the old negotiating strategies of trying to confuse the person you are negotiating with. Tried it on an wise old real estate man one time when I was much younger. I was throwing all kinds of scenarios his way trying to purchase a piece of property. After several minutes of discussion I thought I had him where I wanted him and was circling for the kill. All of a sudden he says " Your not trying to confuse me are you?" with a small chuckle. The wind went out of may sails real quick. Another lesson learned. After that I learned the Columbo method of negotiating was alot more effective than trying to show someone how much I know. Sorry for going off on a tangent but that is the way my mind works as I get older.
