USA | Imo the multi- parcel system cost them money on this farm. If they had sold individual tracts and not allowed a person to combine them, farm would have probably brought $200 to $500 more per acre Imo.
I guess different people view things differently in these types of situations. Really didn't feel there was irrational exhuberance, IMHO farm will probably look cheap next year at this time.
Farm brought pretty close to what I thought before the sale. My prediction was $7650. Tracts 4,5, and 6 brought more than I thought they would. I had tracts 1, 2, and 3 figured at $7800 before the sale and they ended up bringing $7816, when you figure tract 4 at $7300.
What was the other guy thinking that was bidding that didn't buy the farm ? A good question, it is kind of hard to figure him out and why he does what he does. His wife says she is going donate his brain to science when he dies, to see if they can figure out what is wrong with it !
