Subject: Exports and the meat complex

Any chance pork, beef and chicken exports will pickup due to the weak dollar? Or, is the value added market pretty much stagnant unless price went to nothing? I've had trouble thinking of a way for livestock producers to improve their position with the high cost of feed without many getting out. Sow prices are way down, so I imagine there is quite few going to the sidelines anyway. However, perhaps the export market could be a way for meat prices to find a way to move up with the ever increasing feed cost. In the short run it doesn't look like it's happening or at least there doesn't appear to be anything supporting the livestock market right now.

what do you think any chance of this happening?

Pat
