SE Iowa | We need a little help from SC or Dave on this, but I believe there was a healthy prod by Congress some years ago to get more people in their own home, which would require an easing of the lending rules. If you are going to let people in who weren't previously qualified, that means they wouldn't have been a good risk under the "old" rules.
And now Congress is howling about the subprime mess, when in fact they were the major factor. Should have open season on them.
