Crude is far more sensitive to recession.
Inflationary concerns or deflationary concerns are not of concern in the spot grain or oilseed markets. I agree about the those effects on the deferred options.
The only impact of lower crude in the spot grains & oilseeds is a lower transportation cost in terms of bunker costs. Therefore, this spot relationship will either rise or fall based upon demand for the product. The demand run may be over. Don’t know, but I do make my margin calls if needed and at my age I relish the occasional shot of adrenalin if I suffer for a few days.
Pain is an excellent reminder I am still alive and is a good indicator I am not perfect. I am frequently wrong.
Seldom am I perfect but it is my goal.
