The courts have found that if a landowner has no livestock and needs no fence, then their just portion is 0. Check recent case rulings. Sounds like Il Farmer has a good deal and great neighbors Thanks for the correction. I stated law from when I was a Township Supervisor many years ago, and one of our jobs was to settle fence disputes. Thankfully, none occurred while I served. I do remember reading later that the law had changed, and court cases had tested the changes with your correction. Sorry to anyone who was mislead by my old knowledge of the law. |
