roaming | Bleedred is right. The signal range is not the issue here; accuracy at the expected range is the issue. Ask your dealer what kind of accuracy he's advertising at 24 mi. When most people think RTK, they think sub-inch. If he can consistently get you true sub-inch accuracy at 24mi, he's doing something better/different than every other base station operator in the world...
Then again, maybe you don't need sub-inch. If something like Starfire2 is good enough, and it's cheaper to get in on his RTK network than to pay subscription fees for SF2, then what he's offering might be worth considering... | |
