Subject: RE: RTK range vs elevation

Central, IA
The radio needs reasonable line of sight in order to work. The actual elevation should not effect the signal if you can obtain a line of sight. I have issues with one field that the elevation drops off into a river valley and I can't get reception throughout the entire field. I'm hoping a repeater will solve my issues. If you get out a few miles from your base it doesn't take that big of an elevation change to block the signal.
