| yeah you could. you would still have to run the irrigation sweeps to clean out your middle before watering. but i see no problem. we have done this with corn following cotton. i think i have a pic of that too. weather is going to errode your bed so it might not be as uniform as you would like but can be done. we just do our new rows every year. mainly to get the cover crop out there for wind and sand protection.

hear are some differences. the first pic is 2 year old rows. and the second pic is the new rows put up the fall following the previous years crop.
