Never have I even thought about doing this but I am thinking of putting spring wheat on winter wheat ground from '07. It is diskes and chiseled now but am concerned about N tie up and getting a good stand. I imagine I will have to get some growth of the volunteer ww and then spray and kill it off right. Also treat the seed. This is normally considered a no, no here but with this price of wheat and some of my not so good acres this seems to make more sense than putting in corn.
