What does Gov payments have to do with what the cosumer pays at the grocery store? Even at $5 corn the box is still a pretty good chunk of the cost of a box of corn flakes. Hard to break the welfare mentality that possess a lot people today that are involved in agriculture.
If anything the Gov program is one of the main ingredients for the mess we are in today. The taxpayer in this country has recieved very little benefit for the amount of money that has been forked over in LDP and other Gov payments. Why should the taxpayer have been saddled with the burden for exporting grain out of this country at below cost of production?
