coup - 2/15/2008 09:19 Maybe the reason for the subsidies on insurance, is to benefit those that are selling it. Maybe they could lower the subsdy if they cut the commision agent's get. Imo the subsidy that is provided on crop insurance is there because of the insurance lobby. Insurance subsidy on crop insurance is a whole different animal than direct payments farmers are about to recieve.
