Fortunately we have a pretty good crew that would usually not do that. If I came by while it was going on I would stop and order them off the property. The manager and I would then have a quiet heart to heart talk about proper field conditions. It isn't my place to discipline his employees for either using poor judgment or following orders. But it is my place to not have them do damage to the property. As for the ruts, I believe I would ask him how they intend to repair the damage? Not compensate me, but repair it. I guarantee if they get some guy out there with an old tractor and a blade filling in ruts he'll remember it next time. Oh and the nurse operation on my end rows because it ruts up the one they are working... that would get an immediate phone call to the manager and a talk with the drivers. Go stomp somebody else's end rows. |
