| It would be my recommendation to never add nitrogen to a soybean plant. I have seen it done with little to no difference made, and I have seen it done and the plant begins to reject the symbiotic relationship with the bacteria forming the nodules. If a soybean plant sences it has enough nitrogen without the bacteria, why would it continue to contribute carbs and energy to them. Don't overcomplicate a situation by saying everything relys on calcium or a soil test. The fact is the imediate impact will be that of possible nodule rejection. | |
